He has been a practicing ophthalmologist since 1999 and has performed thousands of procedures since then. His special interests include diseases of the retina, advanced cataract surgery, pupillary reconstructions, sutured and sutureless scleral fixation of intraocular lenses and refractive surgery. Dr. Ravi holds an academic appointment with the University of Saskatchewan as Clinical Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology. He is actively involved in training residents and medical students. Along with his pratical teaching he has contributed to textbooks, journal articles, and various national and international meetings. His memberships include the Canadian Ophthalmological Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retinal Specialists, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Apart from Ophthalmology Dr. Ravi has a strong interest in computer science, and solid-state electronics. His other interests are Badminton, Tennis and Swimming. Dr. Ravi and his wife Vasudha have two young boys and he enjoys spending time with his family the most.
