Natalie is a compassionate and dedicated Registered Psychologist who believes in the transformative power of healing from within. She understands that personal life experiences can deeply impact us on multiple levels, including mentally, emotionally, physically, relationally, and spiritually. Natalie's approach to therapy focuses on creating meaningful change by allowing individuals to be seen and known at their most vulnerable. The therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance to Natalie. In her counseling practice, she strives to establish trust, respect, kindness, and compassion to create a safe and collaborative environment for her clients. Through empathetic understanding, Natalie aims to foster connection and facilitate greater insight, empowerment, self-awareness, and self-acceptance. She considers it an honor and a privilege to accompany her clients on their personal journeys and witness their profound growth and embracing of their unique paths. Natalie provides client-centered, integrative, and holistic counseling services to adolescents, adults, and families dealing with a broad range of mental health issues. She is particularly passionate about working with complex developmental trauma, post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, substance dependency, personality disorders, grief and loss, life transitions, self-esteem, relationships, and diversity and inclusivity issues. Natalie's training and experience in various therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), emotionally-focused (EFT), narrative, mindfulness-based, attachment-based, and strength-based modalities, allows her to tailor her approach to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. She is also specialized in Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which can be effective in processing and healing trauma. As a lifelong learner, Natalie is committed to personal and professional growth. She actively seeks to expand her training and knowledge to better support her clients. Natalie is a Registered Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists and the Psychologists Association of Alberta. She holds two undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Human Resource Management from the University of Alberta and has earned her Master of Counselling degree from the City University of Seattle. Through her dedication, empathy, and commitment to personal growth and transformation, Natalie provides a nurturing and supportive space for individuals to navigate their challenges, discover their inner strengths, and lead more balanced and fulfilling lives.
