I saw Dr. Kapoor while in emerg at Toronto Western hospital in Dec 2018. While she was very nice, she would not allow me to get an x-ray done when I was in extreme pain. I was prescribed a baby-dose of painkillers & told to revisit emerg if the symptoms did not get better. I advised her that I had no family dr, and needed her referral to get an x-ray. I was able to get a referral from the walk-in clinic the following week, after suffering greatly the entire time. The result of the x-ray was multiple herniated disks in my back, as well as hip-joint osteoarthritis. I’m 37 years old. I guess it felt vindicating to know that I had not been faking an injury, and am now getting proper treatment from specialists. The doctor at walk-in clinic expressed dismay when I told him Dr. Kapoor would not even allow me to get an xray or catscan. At least a week of severe pain could have been prevented if Dr. Kapoor had believed the symptoms I described to her.
