Dr. Molly Thangaroopan is a staff Cardiologist at Southlake Regional Health. She is a community-based cardiologist with a practice specializing in General Cardiology and non-invasive cardiac imaging including Echocardiography, stress echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and advanced cardiac imaging, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI. Specific interests include primary and secondary preventative Cardiology, management of patients with valvular heart disease and heart disease in women. She also has a special interest in Adult congenital heart disease. Dr. Thangaroopan received her M.D. from Dalhousie University and completed her Internal Medicine residency at University of Western Ontario, London. She then completed her Cardiology residency at the University of Alberta. She has obtained fellowship training in Echocardiography at the Toronto General Hospital, University of Toronto, specializing in stress echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and 3D echocardiocardiography with Level 3 certification. She then went on to Boston, Massachussetts to complete a fellowship in cardiac coronary CT angiography and cardiac MRI at the Massachussetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. She has been a staff Cardiologist with the Division of Cardiology at Southlake Regional Health Centre since 2007.
