It's crucial to continue receiving vaccinations throughout life to protect against infectious diseases that haven't been eradicated and to maintain immunity against those for which immunity wanes over time.

The emergence of antibiotic resistance has indeed made the treatment of certain infections more challenging. Vaccination plays a critical role in preventing infections in the first place, reducing the need for antibiotics and helping to curb the development of antibiotic resistance.

Some vaccines, like the tetanus vaccine, require booster shots because the immunity they provide gradually decreases over time. By staying up to date with such vaccinations, adults can ensure they maintain optimal protection against preventable diseases.

Moreover, adult immunization has broader benefits beyond personal protection. By getting vaccinated, healthy adults contribute to the concept of herd immunity. This means that when a significant portion of the population is immune to a disease, it creates a protective barrier that helps prevent its spread and protects those who are most vulnerable, such as young children, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems.

It's important to have open and regular discussions about immunization with primary healthcare providers. They can provide guidance on the appropriate vaccines and schedules based on individual health status, age, occupation, travel plans, and other relevant factors. By staying proactive and getting vaccinated as adults, we can collectively reduce the burden of infectious diseases and help protect ourselves and others.

this woman is an amazing Doctor, she listened to my concerns, has a great sense of humor and had a prescription sent to my pharmacy the same day. I believe the negative comments on this site are from people that wouldn't be content with anything they were given. for example, they seek out an online doctor, to lazy to attend a clinic, then are not happy with the results, expecting a doctor to fix all you problems with a 20 minute phone call. I highly recommend Dr. Lynette Badenhorst and will conitnue to her in the future.

Your license should be revoked, you put my life at risk all because you’re too lazy to google a prescription or educate yourself. I hope you realize you’ve almost killed me. I also wonder how many you have killed working with elderly. Sick. Don’t see this doctor, report her.

Dont risk you life. This woman who I don’t even want to call doctor did not recognize a well known drug, and told me to stop taking it. This could have led to my death. She didn’t even bother finding out what it was. She also claimed that there is nothing that can be described for vomiting that can’t be stoped. Report this woman as soon as you can she should not be treating anyone. Shame on her. Please report her to the physicians board of Canada.

Terrible doctor. She wasted my time arguing with me over the phone about a prescription my regular doctor gave me. Told me I needed to get off drugs. She has a terrible attitude and zero communication skills. Do not waste your time seeing this doctor, you have been warned.

Dr. Badenhorst spent nearly 20 minutes in conversation with me, answered all my questions and made several suggestions regarding follow-up. I never felt rushed during our conversation. She also took the time to find specific information for me, and text it to me following my appointment. I did not know what to expect from a telephone consultation and was pleasantly surprised. Overall, my experience with Dr. Badenhorst was very positive.
