Your eyes have clear liquid that flows in and out, but if you have glaucoma, this liquid doesn’t drain properly, causing this buildup of IOP pressure. Glaucoma is a disease of the optic nerve, which is made up of nerve fibers and transmits images from the eye to your brain. If you have a condition known as ocular hypertension, which is a result of high ocular pressure, your risk of developing glaucoma increases.Your optometrist or ophthalmologist may want to lower your IOP as a preventative measure.

Our eye works a lot like a camera. In order for us to see clearly, the Cornea has light has to be focused by a lens. We are all born with a lens inside our eye that does this job for us and in early life it is crystal clear. As we age, this lens can become cloudy and begin to block light or create blur. We call this change in the lens a “cataract”.

Fortunately, cataracts are treatable through surgery. During cataract surgery, the clouded lens is removed and replaced with an artificial intraocular lens (IOL). This procedure is highly successful in restoring clear vision for most people, allowing them to see more clearly and improve their quality of life.

Worst clinic we have ever visited. Absolutely agree to the other google reviewers "AVOID THIS CLINIC AT ALL COSTS!!!! " My 77 years old mother-in-law visited Dr. Kathy Cao Eye clinic back in Jan. Dr. Cao didn't give any medicines or treatments to take care of her symptoms and concerns. Instead, Dr. Cao spent most of the time persuading my mother-in-law to have a cataract surgery, and presenting lens options , while my mother-in-law former eye specialist told her there is no rush to do a cataract surgery ...... Anyway, we gave Dr. Cao our full trust, did all the required tests & measurements, paid $550 for deposit ($1,610 cost in total for surgery), and booked a surgery with Dr. Cao in May, till ridiculous things happened later. 10 days before the scheduled surgery date, Annie Tan, assistant to Dr. Cao, suddenly called us to do another measure because the measures that were done three months ago were not success. And, "BTW, because it usually takes 15 days to order the lens from the vendor, Dr. Cao can't do your surgery on that day". Come on! There are more than three months between Jan and May that can re-do the measures. Now you are telling us that you are not able to have the lens ready for surgery on time? What a poorly running clinic! We were so frustrated because the delay of surgery will cause conflicts with our family travelling plan and other scheduled unchangeable specialist appointments. Plus, we no longer trust Dr. Cao and her team - they don't have the capability to properly manage their "business". As a result, we had to completely cancel the surgery. It is their fault, so obvious! However, Dr. Cao and her team did NOT express any apologies! And, Dr. Cao refused to reimburse the $71.57 expense we paid for eye-drops, though the only usage of these eye-drops are for surgeries. Okay, maybe we should not have agreed to do the cataract surgery at the very first visit because it is not so necessary! Okay, given the average google review for this clinic is only 2.7, we definitely should have avoided it at all costs! Hey, Dr. Cao, be professional! Please treat your patients as human beings, not only a source for profits and business!
