She completed her Family Medicine Residency at the U of A in 1994 and her Emergency Medicine Certificate in 1995 as Chief Resident. She practiced Emergency Medicine at the Foothills and Peter Lougheed Centers from 1995 to 2006, with active participation in the STARS Air Ambulance Service, The PARTY Program, the EMS liaison committee and the teaching of medical students and residents. She joined CVFP permanently in 2006. Dr. Johns enjoys spending time with her two children, playing hockey, and playing the piano
