It is also the reason I travel internationally on surgical missions. Overseas mission trips are exhausting, they are uncomfortable, and they are hard. However, to know after a week of surgery that I have personally changed the lives of twenty individual children and their families is a feeling that is difficult to describe, and without actually going on one of those trips, it’s difficult to explain. I would love it if you all had the opportunity to experience it, and encourage you to volunteer your time on one of these trips if you can. That said, I realize that most people will never have the chance to experience a medical mission trip. However, I have come up with a way to allow everyone that has “joined” our practice family to share in the joy that comes with that kind of service. We call this program “For You. For All.” For every cosmetic procedure that I perform – from lesion removals to filler and Botox to surgery – a portion of the fee will be donated to charity organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children who otherwise would go without the surgical care that they need to live happy, fulfilled lives. It’s my way of giving – not only to those children, but to you. And every year, you’ll be able to see the impact you have on other children’s lives, simply by being a part of ours.
