Your eyes have clear liquid that flows in and out, but if you have glaucoma, this liquid doesn’t drain properly, causing this buildup of IOP pressure. Glaucoma is a disease of the optic nerve, which is made up of nerve fibers and transmits images from the eye to your brain. If you have a condition known as ocular hypertension, which is a result of high ocular pressure, your risk of developing glaucoma increases.Your optometrist or ophthalmologist may want to lower your IOP as a preventative measure.

Our eye works a lot like a camera. In order for us to see clearly, the Cornea has light has to be focused by a lens. We are all born with a lens inside our eye that does this job for us and in early life it is crystal clear. As we age, this lens can become cloudy and begin to block light or create blur. We call this change in the lens a “cataract”.

Fortunately, cataracts are treatable through surgery. During cataract surgery, the clouded lens is removed and replaced with an artificial intraocular lens (IOL). This procedure is highly successful in restoring clear vision for most people, allowing them to see more clearly and improve their quality of life.

Did an emergency cornea transplant on my Mom to save her eye. Made special arrangements with his OR team to adapt to her needs and a lift to get her into the bed. Now, we are 1 year later and she can recognize me, engage and speak with me and watch TV. A huge difference from a year ago when she only would stare at the floor and remain mute. Dr. Jamie Bhamra is a life changer. God bless this young man.

Diagnosed with recurrent cornea abrasions by Dr. Barclay. Got referred to Vector Eye Centre to see Dr. Bhamra. He evaluated my eyes and mentioned I had anterior membrane dystrophy and reassured me what I was going through was common with this diagnosis. I then got a superficial surface treatment with a diamond burr. Have had no pain or recurrence since. Really happy!

Thank you for the corneal transplantation for my father. His vision has amazing and still sees to be improving 1 year after the surgery. With his contact lens, he is now able to drive again from previously being blind.
