Dr. Gihane Hilal completed her Internal Medicine residency at Amita Health Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois where she received the Emergency Medicine Rotating Resident Merit Award, in recognition of outstanding compassion, empathy and initiative in the treatment of patients in the Emergency Department. After becoming certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Hilal practiced as a General Internist in the United States prior to joining MyHealth Centre. She is dedicated and compassionate with a confident approach to complex medical needs. Dr. Hilal’s scope of practice includes outpatient General Internal Medicine, health promotion and disease prevention, diabetes management, cardiovascular, endocrine, renal, gastrointestinal, hematologic and pulmonology issues. Dr. Hilal is a member of the American College of Physicians, a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and participates in the Maintenance of Certification Program and Continuous Professional Development with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is fluent in English, functionally native in French and conversational in Arabic.
