Your eyes have clear liquid that flows in and out, but if you have glaucoma, this liquid doesn’t drain properly, causing this buildup of IOP pressure. Glaucoma is a disease of the optic nerve, which is made up of nerve fibers and transmits images from the eye to your brain. If you have a condition known as ocular hypertension, which is a result of high ocular pressure, your risk of developing glaucoma increases.Your optometrist or ophthalmologist may want to lower your IOP as a preventative measure.

Our eye works a lot like a camera. In order for us to see clearly, the Cornea has light has to be focused by a lens. We are all born with a lens inside our eye that does this job for us and in early life it is crystal clear. As we age, this lens can become cloudy and begin to block light or create blur. We call this change in the lens a “cataract”.

Fortunately, cataracts are treatable through surgery. During cataract surgery, the clouded lens is removed and replaced with an artificial intraocular lens (IOL). This procedure is highly successful in restoring clear vision for most people, allowing them to see more clearly and improve their quality of life.

Had Lasik procedure performed recently. Very professional, efficient and personable all around with both Doctor Gilani and all her colleagues that I encountered. Super happy with the results to-date. Operation and recovery have been painless. Recovery from fairly minor issues that were expected has been rapid and the results have been great so far. They also seem to have adapted to Covid precautions very smoothly

Dr. Gilani performed Cataract surgery on my left eye. I was very nervous before the procedure, especially since I was awake. The surgery was quick, painless and my vision is 20/20 in that eye now! I have better eyesight than before my cataract. Dr. Gilani was easy to talk to and made me feel at ease. She even made a pin to thank me for trusting my eyes with her. She is an excellent surgeon and I highly recommend her!

Dr Gilani was unprofessional and condescending. I was not told of what my issue but was just given three options for next steps. Did not spend time explaining anything to me and simply scribbled on a piece of paper one of the options and told (multiple times) to "Look it up"! Seriously? These are my eyes.. why can't you take half a minute to tell me the issue AND how the fix(es) work? One option was to "inject .. medicine..." um.. I'm not 12 years old.. you can be a little more clearer on the "medicine" details etc. Like one other poster had indicated - no bedside manner to speak of. Rude. I felt like I was just one more patient to cash in one and out the door you go....
