Dr. Elyse Black is a trained Functional Integrated Acupuncturist and a Doctor of Chiropractic. She graduated with honors from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). During her time at CMCC, Dr. Black was a personal trainer and an F45 coach. She was known for educating clients on functional movements, with proper biomechanics, in order to prevent injury. Dr. Black has competed at the provincial, national and international levels in a variety of sports. She was a Varsity Cheerleader at Wilfrid Laurier University, where she won three National Championship titles. She has also competed in gymnastics, trampolining, and race snowboarding. Dr. Black takes a holistic and functional approach to care. She utilizes her background in athletics to examine the way that her patients move, in order to not only relieve pain but also prevent injury. She believes that living a healthy and active lifestyle is crucial to maintaining optimal health. Having been raised in a Chiropractic household, Dr. Black embodies 360-degree health. She takes an individualized approach to each patient’s program of care, in order to assess and treat the root cause of the issue. She is passionate about keeping individuals active and allowing them to continue doing the activities they enjoy. Dr. Black treats everything from headaches and joint discomfort to enhancing functional movement and athletic performance. She takes a comprehensive approach to care and considers each patient as an individual. Dr. Black enjoys working with athletes, pre-and post-partum patients, runners, individuals who are looking to enhance performance, and individuals who are looking to improve their lifestyle. She enjoys educating her patients on how to make small changes that yield greater results. Dr. Black spends her weekends at the lake, on walks, playing football, running, and spending time with her family.
