He had a solo rural practice for 23 years before relocating to Alberta in 1999, including hospital, emergency department, on-call rotation, family practice obstetrics, house calls, as well as being a Medical Advisor for Home Care for a number of years and was president of the Medical Advisors Home Care Association of Ontario. Dr. Westmacott is a practicing Family Physician and a member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, with acceptance from the College to practice Homeopathy. In 1998, he trained as a Homeopathic Doctor at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital in London England where he achieved the MD LFHom.
