SPORT MEDICINE PHYSICIAN & FAMILY PHYSICIAN Dr. Pitt is a board-certified family medicine and sports medicine physician. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), has Certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP), and a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine (CAQ-SM) from the ABFM. He graduated magna cum laude with his undergraduate degree in physiology from the University of Ottawa, then earned a master’s degree in kinesiology from Brock University. He attended medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine based in Grenada in the West Indies and graduated magna cum laude. Through his training, he gained exposure to health care systems in the UK, USA, and Canada. He completed his family medicine residency training with the Prisma Health/University of South Carolina program in Greenville, South Carolina. He completed his sports medicine fellowship training with the Cleveland Clinic in northeast Ohio. As a fellow, Dr. Pitt provided team physician and event sports coverage at youth, high school, collegiate, and professional levels, including work with the Cleveland Guardians MLB team, the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA team, and coverage for the 2022 NBA All-Star Weekend. He also covered NCAA football, basketball, wrestling, and track & field, along with professional tennis and rugby. Dr. Pitt has a particular focus on injury prevention and treatment, concussion management, ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal injections, running medicine, as well as lifestyle medicine and chronic disease management in order to provide patients with holistic care.
