We all forget things as we age, but that doesn’t mean we have dementia. Dementia isn’t just one condition - it’s a term that refers to symptoms that cause a decline in mental ability that interferes with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia and accounts for 60 to 80 percent of cases. Vascular dementia is the second most common dementia type and occurs after a stroke. Memory loss that worsens over time can be another type of dementia.  Pour plus d'informations et les services locaux des psychiatres locaux à Montréal et à Québec PQ, contactez votre psychiatre local

She assumes everything is depression. Prescribes medication without a diagnosis? Yikes. If you're looking for a safe place to land - this isn't it.

Ignorant jerk and a horrid human being. Run, don't walk, away from her as it's quite possible you will be worse than you already are to her. I've been treated off and on for depression for 30 years, and never complained about the care I received until now. I've lodged formal complaints about her to the hospital, and had encouragement from other staff at the hospital to do so. I'm not a malevolent person. I'm not vindictive, either. But I do truly fear for the people she has treated in the past, and pray that at some point soon she longer practices medicine. At some point I may forgive her for what she did to me, but I can tell you it won't likely be anytime soon. Oh, by the way, Dr Chawla? Since I know you read these things, and I've seen your socket posts elsewhere trying to whip up some kind of support for you, I've got two words: F*** you.

Seems like everyone iv seen on these review pages have had bad experiences with her including myself she was so disrespectful to me I literally left her office in tears I would NOT recommend this horrible lady to anyone do yourselves all a favor and steer far clear away from her she's very rude and likes to make assumptions about people before even knowing them! She needs to loose her job in all honesty I don't get how a doctor in her field is allowed to deal with people with mental health problems...
