Dr. Amy is a highly qualified chiropractor with a strong background in sports and athletic performance. She obtained her Bachelor of Science and Human Kinetics degree with Honours from St. Francis Xavier University, where she excelled as a CIS athlete and Academic All-Canadian on the Women's Soccer Team. Dr. Amy continued her education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC), where she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree with Clinic Honours. She further enhanced her skills by completing the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture certification program at McMaster University. Additionally, Dr. Amy is a certified Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist (FRCms) and has acquired certifications in On Point Therapeutic Dry Needling, Active Release Technique (ART), Graston, and Complete Concussion Management. With her diverse experience, Dr. Amy works with clients of all ages and activity levels, providing sports therapy and injury management to a wide range of athletes, including student, professional, and Canadian National Team athletes. She is particularly passionate about enhancing youth athlete development and performance at all skill levels. Dr. Amy actively participates in the community and serves as the Medical Director of ELEV8 Lacrosse, as well as the Performance Director at YYC, YEG, and YVR Cycle and Golf & Tacos. Dr. Amy has also had the opportunity to travel the world as a Para-Medical Therapist and previously served as the Para-Medical Lead for Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton. She has provided therapy to Canadian National Bobsleigh and Skeleton athletes at numerous World Cup events and had the privilege of being part of the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games. In her leisure time, Dr. Amy enjoys immersing herself in the mountains, engaging in activities such as skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and golfing with her family and friends. She has a strong passion for reading and would be delighted to discuss her current book of interest with others.
