Followed by the floor series performing the spine strengthening postures, graduated extension, compression and stretching postures, and the final breathing exercise
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga emphasizes holding postures for 3-5 minutes to access the dense, fibrous ligaments, or connective tissue of the joints. All of the postures are non weight bearing, practiced in a seated position. The intention is to encourage circulation in less-flexible areas, to lengthen and release deep connective tissue, especially in the joints closest to the core of the body: the hips, lower back and sacrum area. As connective tissues are tough & fibrous, they stretch the best when held for a long time.
Flow Yoga
Hot Flow yoga is basic power yoga (vinyasa) class taught in a heated room (30C). Within this series of postures you will strengthen and tone the upper body and core abdominal muscles. This series will also develop the ability to properly coordinate body movements with the correct breathing technique.
