Electric toothbrushes are good for three different types of brushers.

The first is the type of person that brushes too hard. They like to scrub their teeth, but with the electric toothbrush they can't do it, the toothbrush stalls out. The second kind is the person who just can't seem to do it; the young children, or the elderly who just don't have the manual dexterity. The electric toothbrush makes a huge difference.

And, the third type is just the speedy type. We're all in a hurry, and the electric toothbrush has a timer on it, so if you don't brush long enough you know you're cheating yourself.

The Oral-B electric toothbrush works well because it spins so fast and it gets the plaque off. The Sonicare works it's way down deep in between the teeth, and it's a great toothbrush as well. So, ask your dentist which would be the best for you.
