When treating an injury like a rotator cuff or other sports injury, it's necessary at some stage to begin the strengthening process of individual muscles.

Now, there are many ways that this can be done, but one way that's very easy and effective for patients is the use of elastic resistance. These elastic bands are colour-coded for different strengths of tension.

It's very gratifying for patients to see that they can progress through the individual strengths and that they are portable. These bands really weigh nothing, so they can go to work, they can be used at home, they can go on business trips, and they can go on vacation. There's never really downtime from rehabilitation, which can ultimately slow down a patient's improvement.

If you have questions about rotator cuff injury, contact a local physiotherapist.
