Premature or rapid ejaculation is a condition that affects between 30 and 40 percent of men sometime in their lifetime.

So, you are not alone if you have this concern. The definition of premature ejaculation has nothing to do with your partner’s response. It has to do with the sense that you’re ejaculating far too quickly, usually less than a minute that you don’t have any sense of control of being able to not ejaculate, and that you have to stress about it.

If you think that you have fast ejaculation, the first thing is to get proper information on it. How you can manage and treat this is two ways. The first way is to do more of a behavioral methodology where you try to slow down your physical reflex physiologically by doing exercises.

The second way is to use medication and what that does is that it increases your orgasmic threshold or the difficulty to reach orgasms. So, medications are only successful at the time that you use them. That’s why it’s so important to try to learn to slow down your own reflex and not just take medications alone.

If you have some concerns about the speed of your ejaculation, the first thing to do is get educated. There’s really great resources that you can find in books or on the internet to learn how to slow down your reflex.

If that’s not working, then you can go and see a sexual therapist or even your family doctor in case he or she decides you need medication.
