Keep in mind that there are complementary therapies that could potentially be quite helpful to you. There's some evidence that acupuncture is helpful for pain control in pregnancy. There's some evidence that chiropractic treatments, especially by an experienced chiropractor who has built a practice around treating pregnancy-related back pain, can play a role and can help with your symptoms.

See your family physician and make sure that your healthcare provider is on board with these treatments. If your family physician agrees there are also medications that are potentially safe like acetaminophen, Tylenol.

Keep in mind that even though back pain is very common during pregnancy you should not ignore it, especially if it persists. See your healthcare provider if you have any questions as to why you're having this discomfort in your back.
