Duration: 1 minute, 14 seconds

The main concerns patients have about root canal therapy is basically pain, whether or not they're going to have pain during the procedure and whether they'll have pain after the procedure.

As endodontists, we make sure that the area, the whole jaw is entirely frozen. We also give additional freezing in the root area of the tooth to make absolutely sure that this patient has no discomfort whatsoever while we're working.

Now, after the procedure, patients can expect some discomfort, much less than they presented with before the procedure. However, in the odd and rare case if the pain is starting to increase, the patient is given prescription analgesics and the contact phone number for any endodontist that had treated it. Therefore, this patient will be looked after in a most expeditious manner.
