Obstructive sleep apnea is a common condition. It affects one in ten men, and one in twenty women.

Characteristically, it presents with loud snoring, stopping breathing during the night and then the patient will intermittently awake during the night and feel unrefreshed in the morning.

Well, as with every condition, you start out with your family physician. So always go to the family physician. Is this just a snoring disease, just a noise issue or is it something more significant than that?
