Patients who have diabetes can make some very important lifestyle changes to lower their blood sugars and even potentially normalize their blood sugars.
This is patients with type 2 diabetes, and the changes that are important include weight control - definitely not gaining weight, and ideally slow, controlled weight loss; regular exercise, which is key to any successful exercise lifestyle change in terms of controlling your weight, and also the composition of the food and how frequently you eat.
Many people who gain weight have fallen into a pattern of having one or two meals a day, and having smaller, more frequent food intake is critical to control blood sugars and weight.
