Dr. Saul Isserow Clinical Assistant Professor Dr. Isserow graduated in Medicine at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg in 1986, and then moved to Canada where he practiced as a family physician until pursuing a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation, and later a residency in internal medicine at the University of British Columbia. He completed a fellowship in Cardiology at UBC in 1996, and has been pursuing his career as a Cardiologist at VGH and UBC Hospital since 1997. He is actively involved in both patient care and research and is the Head of Clinical Cardiology at UBC as well as the Director of the VGH Centre for Cardiovascular Health. He has received numerous awards, including the Award for Clinical Excellence from Vancouver Coastal Health for 2008 and Master Teacher Awards from the Department Of Medicine and from the Department of Anesthesia. He is the founder and Medical Director of Sports Cardiology BC.
