Dr. Pallav Garg Bio

Dr. Pallav Garg is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Western University and a staff Interventional Cardiologist at the London Health Sciences Centre.

He received his medical degree at the University of Melbourne (Australia) in 1996 and completed his postgraduate internal medicine, cardiology training and interventional fellowship in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia.  He received his fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2004.

He undertook his subspecialty cardiology training at Harvard Medical School, including a further interventional cardiology fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, followed by a peripheral vascular interventional fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.  In addition to this he spent 2 years as a clinical research fellow in the Cardiovascular Division at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School and Harvard Clinical Research Institute.

Dr. Garg received his Masters degree in Epidemiology from Harvard University School of Public Health in 2007, focusing on clinical epidemiology, biostatistics, decision analyses and clinical trial design.  His research area of interest is in the evaluation of efficacy and safety of novel drugs and percutaneous device therapies in interventional cardiology.  He is a clinician-scientist and continues his strong commitment to research with collaborative studies both nationally and internationally.  His research has been published in JACC, Circulation, AHJ, NEJM and JAHA.  

Dr. Garg is the Program Director for the Interventional Cardiology Training Program at Western University.
