His clinical training includes three years at the University of Toronto in Internal Medicine and four years at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute - three in Adult Cardiology and a fourth in Interventional Cardiology. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in Internal Medicine in 2003 and in cardiology in 2005. He joined the University of Ottawa Heart Institute in July 2006
