Referral Clinic
Women who are having a difficult transition during menopause can ask to be referred by their family doctor, nurse practitioner or doctor of naturopathic medicine to be seen in our clinic. Each woman, together with our doctor and nurse will design an individualized plan to manage her symptoms and enhance her health and well-being. Our doctors and nurse are all NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioners (North American Menopause Society).

Hot & Bothered Discussion Group
Do you ever feel like you have a lot of questions but not sure where to get the answers? Do you wish you had some other women to talk to that just might know how you are feeling about some things? Well, we might be able to help you find what you are looking for.
Twice yearly, 12-14 women will gather together once a week for 6 weeks to unravel the mysteries of mid-life. Each session includes some new information and some gentle physical activity. The group chooses the topics for each session and discussion is facilitated about that topic. Sessions are held in the spring and fall. Click here to Contact Us to register for the next session.
Bone Strength Assessments
The Women’s Mid-Life Health Centre offers wrist/tibia ultrasound bone strength assessments. With this screening test you will learn about your personal risk for osteoporosis, receive information about osteoporosis prevention and ways to keep your bones healthy. You will receive a report with your screening results which you can take to discuss with your family doctor. This is not a Bone Mineral Density X-ray test. The ultrasound results can be used together with other clinical risk factor assessments as an aid to diagnose osteoporosis or identify your risk.
We do not charge for this test but ask for a donation of $50.00 for which you will receive a tax donation receipt for the whole amount. Donations will be used to expand the programming at the Women’s Mid-Life Health Centre. No one will be turned away because of inability to make a donation.
