EYE HEALTH EXAMINATIONS
Our doctors are continually educating themselves and keeping up with the latest in modern technology so that they can offer you thorough and comprehensive examinations. The full eye health examination will vary from patient to patient depending on the health and age of the individual and their visual needs.
We are pleased to inform you that we have the latest diagnostic procedure called FDT. FDT detects changes in the visual field caused by glaucoma, optic neuritis, macular degeneration, strokes and certain brain tumors. Undetected, glaucoma and macular degeneration can lead to blindness. Protect your eyes and their visual health by seeing your Optometrist... what could be more important!
Family Eyecare in Victoria is excited to have expanded our already extensive use of new technology. We now have a retinal camera to record images of the back of your eye, as well as new technology for glaucoma testing. Retinal photography allows us to keep a computerized image of the back of your eye in your computer file and allows us to monitor any changes from this baseline over time. Retinal imaging is an important part of modern eye care and we are pleased to make the investment in this technology in order to serve you better.
If your examination indicates a need for further testing such as a topography or field test we are able to perform these tests in our office eliminating the need to refer you to another office.
