HealthChoicesFirst.com Announces Appointment of Dr. Charles Cheng to Medical Board

December 16, 2014 (VANCOUVER) Dr. Charles Cheng has joined the Medical Board of HealthChoicesFirst.com, a directory and community of 300 leading health and wellness providers sharing healthy living solutions through a comprehensive online library of videos.

Dr. Cheng had a keen interest in the latest treatments available in medical science and recognized early on that acne was an inflammatory problem. As a result, he developed an advanced approach to acne treatment with great success, building a practice that grew rapidly and evolved to focus on acne. 

Dr. Cheng also took an interest in aging skin and since 1992, Skin Matters Acne and Skin Medical Centre has been offering aesthetic non-surgical treatments in addition to acne care. Dr. Cheng is among the few physicians in Canada to have achieved the Double Diamond Level account status with Allergan (manufacturer of Botox Cosmetic and the Juvéderm family of hyaluronic acid fillers). Dr. Cheng is a founding member of the BC Society of Aesthetic Physicians, and sits on the Board of Directors as Chairman. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at UBC, a clinical examiner for the Medical Council of Canada and works as a peer assessor for the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons to improve the quality of patient care in the province.
Dr. Cheng obtained his M.D. from the University of Toronto in 1990, completing a rotating internship program at the University of British Columbia at St. Paul's Hospital in 1991. He started in general practice in 1991 after working in both Ontario and BC.
