Digital mammography is a new application in breast imaging.

It takes conventional film screen, or analog mammography, and raises it to a new level by providing higher resolution images and allowing us to see better within the breast tissue than ever before and at the same time it also uses less radiation in most situations.

And so it's a very exciting new tool that's going to allow us to find many more cancers in patients, early on, when they're most successfully treated.
