He has been my family doctor for a few years, but I am searching for a new doctor. When I tried to tell him my depression is still nearly crippling (while having a mild anxiety attack during the conversation) and asked to change the dose on my anti-depressants, he told me to "go to a cancer ward", as if I could snap out of the clinically diagnosed depression I have suffered from for 18 years by realizing some people have cancer? If he has the cure for depression then he should win a Nobel prize. And one visit he asked me about how my marriage is, and when I explained my reasons for believing it's not healthy, including multiple betrayals of trust by my spouse, he said it's MY fault for forgiving transgressions in the past. Talk about blaming the victim! I imagine if I was assaulted he'd say it's my fault for wearing a tight sweater.
